Our Story
Monte Sano Club is a private corporation with approximately 100 acres on beautiful Monte Sano Mountain in Huntsville, Alabama. Founded in 1962, the club was built by its founding members with their own hands as a place for families to gather, connect, and make lasting memories.
For over 60 years, generations of families have grown up at the club, creating a tight-knit community centered around outdoor recreation, fitness, and friendship.
The club is owned and operated by its members, with a volunteer board of directors overseeing operations, maintenance, membership, and events. This member-driven approach ensures the club stays true to its original mission of community and recreation.
Today, the club offers a world-class swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, picnic areas, and a vibrant social calendar — all nestled in the natural beauty of Monte Sano Mountain.
Our Facilities
Pool
7-lane, 25-meter Olympic-style swimming pool with a separate baby pool for our youngest members. Home of the Monte Sano Makos Swim & Dive team.
Tennis
Well-maintained tennis courts available for members to enjoy casual play, lessons, and organized matches.
Pickleball
Pickleball courts for one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. All skill levels welcome.
Picnic Areas
Beautiful picnic areas surrounded by mountain forest, perfect for family gatherings, cookouts, and club events.
